The D-day-A story unveils-

Wednesday 12/11/2008. 8:30 pm, IST.
Two souls, somewhere in Kerala.
They are packing their luggage right now.
It seems like they are getting ready for a journey.
Yes, it is. They want to meet their son in Chennai and the journey is scheduled for tomorrow.
The train, Trivandrum Chennai Express reaches the nearby station at around 8 pm tomorrow and will reach Chennai by 10- 10.30 in the morning, next day. Their son had just phoned them to see how things are moving at their end and was happy that they are almost done with their packing and are anxiously waiting for the clock to hit 8pm tomorrow.

Excerpts from a telephone convo that happend.
“Don’t even think about cleaning ur house! I want to see it as it is now.”,a weak attempt to explain himself was mercilessly out shadowed by an old voice.
“But…..it is so….......”
"So...?"
“Dad, its ok. It is not that bad either..But”
“No!”
“Ah, Ok, let it be so then….!!”

Thursday 13/11/2008. 7:30 am, IST.
Four souls, some apartment in Chennai.
Three of them are frantically cleaning the dirty house as much as they can before the sun rises tomorrow. Their main targets are the orphan waste papers lying shamelessly on the floor, scattered clothes and of course, liquor bottles kept as souvenirs of some grand evenings.
Even their house servant is missing for the last couple of weeks and they know that the situation is worse. They have been cleaning the house since the phone call happend.
The other soul who just got up is searching for the newspaper. Brush in his hand. He is not at all interested in the frantic struggle going around him. While reading the newspaper, the fourth soul as usual moves into some dreamworld.....

A flashback.

Pointing to the scattered stuffs on the dining table, sofa, bed, floor……., the lady of the house is shouting at her son.
“Ur sister is not like this.”
"So..???"
"She keeps everything clean and tidy, not like u, littering around.."
“Mom, anymore coffee left??”
"No!"
"Tea??"
"I don't know; Go to the kitchen and see. And I am not going to wash your glass!!"

Later, sipping the cold cardamom tea which she had prepared in the morning and watching TV, her son tells her in a feable voice..., his eyes half closed.
“Mom, u know wat?! I am a firm believer of entropy and how that sustains life in the universe. An ordered pattern will never survive the test of time. I am here to unbalance the system equation or add entropy to it and she balances it. I unbalance it again, she balances it again. I trained her to what she is right now and....and....,
"Of whom are u blabbering abt??"
The response was quick and sharp.
"Who else! Ur daughter, My sis!!"

The Anticlimax.
My parents know my habits and it is my roomies who r in trouble.
“Come on guys, don’t let my parents think that U pple are also just like me .... Don't let yourself down!!!” ;)

It is D-day for u all!

Recurring Dreams

My nights were silent and smooth with not even a single clock tick heard in between those vast hours.
But, not any more..!
I see these recurring dreams and my sleeps are broken. It is quite unbelievable that the same dream repeats in its entirety or a similar one unvails with the same outcome. I really do not know why I am seeing such dreams at this point in my life.
"I mean, I am not a student anymore to fail in an exam?!"
"That too, Biology??!!"
"Hello, I did engineering!!!!!"
Recurring Dreams.....
Plot #1
Back to my college days.
Final semester.
Study leave is almost over and the exams are about to start within one or two days. Ofcourse I have studied everything except this subject called Biology (What the...!!). Did I purposefully avoided that?? Yeah, I must have, because I remember it had one long chapter on "I dont remember what" and I did not want to go through it.
I am about to fail.
I realise that.
And I am tensed.
Plot #2
This was the recent one.
Subject is different, English I guess....., (Hello, I did Engineeeeringgggggggg!!!!).
Exam hall....,
My pass or fail depends on the person sitting next to me and I want some inspiration from whatever he had written.
But the examiner is too smart and she is about to move me to an isolated place!
I see trouble!
Almost the same plot, the same tensed situation, and the fear of failure...; both these dreams had plenty in common.
It kills.....
But I must say one thing.
The relief that we find once we wakeup...
The realisation that it was just a dream......
Oh, Blizz...... ;-)

Underperformer

"I have always seen u as an underperformer", he told me this when v were chatting. His tone pretty serious.
I know y he was saying this and I could not really blame him also.He sincerely wants me to push forward in life, giving justice to my self, my karma and my karmic skills.
I never did.

"But who is performing here?! I am here to live and not to perform.....", I wanted to retaliate but Obviously I didnt.

Yes, He was right!

But sometimes it really hurts when pple give such tags ,watever be their intention, gud or bad.Ofcourse, I may not be aiming the stars Or I might be too lost in some fantacy world that I am not realising that the world has gone past me. Whatever it is, I believe that the word when used on humans is really a misnomer.

There is a saying in malayalam...., "onnu chathu matonninu valamakuka"-"one dies and becomes nutrition to another"- and the world has become too complex that the only rule that sells is this, be it among friends or relatives or in home or workplace.

If anyone had noticed me as an underperformer, then its just because that I dont want to thrive upon your flesh and that I am pretty content with myself as an underperformer...,for ever.

Well, those who want to perform, plz perform. And I will stay back happily watching their performance!

Oh, it repeats!!

Here I am, once again in front of you!

Like always, I will try my best to not to cook up any stories or exaggerate any events just to convince you (and myself) that the world around me is still ticking or something is happening at least. It seems like my Life is showing up new sign of activities, and there are a few things worth mentioning.

If I remember it correctly (just a style of writing, actually it is correct!), I wrote my first blog entry on a sleepy afternoon in office inorder to save my head from colliding with the desk (to be frank, my head had several narrow escapes…). I would like to give a full glass of chilled beer to that person who found out that, “History repeats itself”. Look at me……Here I am trying to save my head again. Oh, it repeats!!

So, how long it has been since I posted anything in my blog?? Almost one year, I suppose. The ‘one entry per month’ rule was working just fine for me and then it turned out to be a tough one to meet. I was doing brilliantly in the initial days, meeting every deadline. But later, I failed miserably and I know where it went wrong and why. I had taken a silent oath that promised to change the above rule into a new ‘one entry per week’ rule. The rationale behind such a step was that, with this new rule, I thought, I should be able to energize my bio-psycho-physiological daemons to work harder and…….., and I’ll end up with at least one post per month….Curse me only; it worked and I went off completely!

Coming to think about this, it is not the first time that events similar to these had happened in my life. I remember my struggle to get up in the morning and in sync with my time piece alarm set to 6:00 am. Initially I kept it near to my pillow so that I could hear the alarm even in dead sleep. But then, I just stopped it and went back to sleep. This same incident repeated for weeks. I did a self analysis and found out the real problem, which is, the time piece is kept within hand reachable distance. So, the next night I kept it away with the volume at its maximum. The alarm went out and I had to get up from bed to turn it off so that I can continue my sleep. Ooopz! The former setup was better! And after that realization, I was never quite worried about getting up at a fixed time in the morning. I somehow managed to do it at my own leisure!

This is me.
Have u ever stayed in awe watching a leaf falling onto the ground after repeatedly drawing many imaginary circles with the wind??? Have u ever wondered where it would ultimately touch the land??? Well, I have, and now I realize……
That leaf is my life itself.

Yea, as always, I dragged a bit. But I know, by this time you might have already accustomed with me and these habits. So, what I wanted to say is that, I have left my roots behind and went ahead for making some money. Very much unlike me, I know, but that’s the truth. It has been almost two months now since I left Trivandrum, Althara temple, Vellayambalam, my friends there, and all those funs. I am not looking back into those aspects or rethinking on my decision as I had done all those prior to accepting this offer from an MNC. But still………..

While I was roaming about the streets of Trivandrum, there was one thing that I could have done. I could have resumed my music lessons. I was in the lookout for a good teacher for more than 3 years, but failed to find any. Surprising, isn’t it? Now I wonder that whether I will repeat the same stuff here also. Anyways, at the age 27, I have started to take my singing a little more seriously. I have told most of my friends here to find a guru for me so that I can resume my classical music training. One big advantage of asking ur friends help in getting a music teacher is that they will be forced to think that u r a good singer and this feeling u can inject in them without even making a whistle. But seriously, I am beginning to realize the importance of this and how much I value the singer in me. If you find a “gud voice” with “exceptional singing abilities” in Yahoo chat room Kerala: 2, doing all that he can do to stay on the mic and sing, ignoring the threats and foul words of his fellow roomies, then it’s probably me! No, I don’t reply to PMs, but I do send them a lot….. So, if u r lucky, then I will catch u!

Now, don’t think that I am waiting for bumping into a cute girl. These days, I have become very cautious while meeting a new girl. My friends in Trivandrum, almost always used to tease me that whenever I make a new friendship from the opposite gender pool, she is destined to get married within the next 6 months. They say that after knowing me, these girls get convinced that there are worse things in life and there after, they accept their destiny, happily. The situation is so worse that my friends even tell me that they have a friend whose marriage is not yet over and I must talk a few words with her (just a few words, not more!). I console myself that most of the girls whom I meet these days are at the verge of getting married and it has nothing to do with my looks. But it has got into my nerves. If I loose my job here, I’ll open a phone booth, where unmarried ladies can talk to me over BSNL, wait for the next six months and get married to someone…………

Sounds funny???

Yea!

Jai Hind.......Again!!

There it goes.....
Another Happy Independence day.
Ofcourse, when u get a day off at the office, its worth to be called, a Happy day.
Now, as a proud happy Indian, what did I do today to make my country proud??
I stayed at home!!!!

Y do we celebrate these days???

In TV and on streets, I saw great personalities(i dont know who they are or wht they do) singing the National Anthem and saying very inspiring emotional words abt motherland and how we gained independence. I saw pain and struggle on their faces as if they just came out of the freedom struggle. But were wer these pple hiding for the rest of the 364 days??? Y pple become so emotional abt their motherland "only" on this one day????
I think by celebrating the day as our Independence day, v r limiting our responsibility.
To be frank, I, an average citizen celebrated his Independence day by sleeping and enjoying the holiday at home with family. Ofcourse its good, but is it really contributing anything to that bigger cause? I guess not!

Jan 1st------------April 1st--------April15th---------December 25th---------December31st.
These remaind me of the passing time only.
Ok, No offense meant.Me too love my country!!!!!

ThankYou man.You will be punished for this, later ;)
Ollrite, the point is ,I am back in action. Sorry! :)

  5. Had a gr8 sleep. I have this gr8 gift, that whenever I am troubled with something or someone, I sleep well.
(Though i am posting this on monday, this portion of the post was written on last thursday. So I am talking abt wednesday here, sorry i am such a "lazy freak" ;) )

6. Love “a girl” and “be loved” ofcourse. ;)
7. Understand myself. Do justice to myself, my karma and my abilities.

A flash back...

November 30th......The last day of an action packed month!!!
Here is a review of things that happend......

To start with……, I
1. Saw some of my online friends for the first time. Unfortunately it was on the wedding day of one of them :(
(Hero,Comedy)

2. Tried to copy some clips from the movie “AnanthaBhadram” using my new Nokia 6681- was rude fully dealt with by the theatre authorities though- :(
(Hero,Trajedy)

3. With family, went to the temple at Thirumanthamkunnu, a place nearer to Shornur as devotion in favor to my sister’s marriage. The ambience is truly magical. Places like these can really turn a lion into lamb. :)
(Presenter,Devotional Documentary)

4. Went for swimming at the Water Authority Swimming Pool, for the first time- Learnt that it is not possible to swim unless u r ready to drink a lot of water. Also learnt that whatever things you do to stay on top of water, is a style of swimming. ;)
(Hero,Comedy)

5. Started getting up early (before 7) and doing some excercises……. Now its paining everywhere!! :(
(Hero,Trajedy)

6. Won the Third prize for chess at the CDAC Tvm Intra Department Chess Tournament as part of the Annual Sports and Games. The match I last played was a draw. But damn pple decided to take a lot instead of a rematch and luck went against me. The guy who tricked me, won the title. :(
(Hero,Trajedy)

7. Announced as captain of the Cricket team. The matches will be played on Dec 3rd and 4th.
(Hero,??) :)

8. Went to attend my ex-class mate’s marriage. He married one of his chat (Y!) friends. A nice girl. ;) It was on the same day that the Music competitions were held at my office as part of the Annual Cultural Events. (I was the First prize winner for Light Music, last year).
Btw, my Y! id is woopdrive ;)
(SupportingRole,Comedy ;))

9. Saw that girl who had literally stolen my heart away, a few years back. I smiled, She smiled back!! I won’t be troubling her though,I guess!!;)
(Hero,Comedy/Trajedy)

10. Fell down in road while trying to catch an auto. Seeing own blood after a long gap. ;) Somebody advised me that life is more important than an auto!!! :(
(Comedian,Comedy)

11. -Edited out on 4th December 2005-
(Villian,Trajedy)

Idealist!! Am i??? ;)

You scored as Idealist. Idealism centers around the belief that we are moving towards something greater. An odd mix of evolutionist and spiritualist, you see the divine within ourselves, waiting to emerge over time. Many religious traditions express how the divine spirit lost its identity, thus creating our world of turmoil, but in time it will find itself and all things will again become one.

Another Deadline Hit...!!

Now a days while thinking about adding an entry in here, I always iterate these lines silently.
“30 days hath September, April June and Novermber…..”
Ok, I got an extra day this time.. Good!!!
And that extra day is today…. Gosh!!!
Another deadline hit!!!
Sigh!!
My PL, and for that matter even My blog, all are harsh on me.
They always threaten me by reminding me of the time frame within which I have to complete the duties assigned to me. They always threaten me by flashing that magical figure, the so-called “Deadline”.
The mad rush, the frantic efforts to finish off the duties, the unknown accidental mistakes committed in between, while chasing a deadline-the hidden bugs-, their re-entry, may be in new forms and complexity, at a later time, while chasing another deadline, the extra efforts I have to put in to kill those earlier bugs and the creation of new bugs in this process, are all part of the game. So is the divine bliss, when the deadline is over.

I have already had a number of deadlines and I know, the Confidential Report-the balance sheet of my office work-, is getting bulky. I have enjoyed Promotions as well as foul words. I see a cycle of events in these, repeating itself in a specific predefined manner, every time.
And I know that for every event, for every experience, for every aspect in nature that repeats itself in a cyclic way, we can find something similar, something bigger, something happening in a higher dimension, and that is nature’s way of doing things. Have you ever felt so??
I know that one day even God Almighty will turn harsh on me...
The day, when I will be lying on my deathbed,
Waiting for that final tick, thinking over those that I have done in the allowed time frame,
My life.
The memories, good and bad.
The Feeling of joy and guilt.
And the feeling of the end, nearing…..
All erupting out in a final jerk, a relief to the pain in the voids of the mind.
And The balance sheet, that of Heaven or Hell......
Then a new deadline, the time frame to repent over the hidden bugs in the past deadline and probably to do some justice to all those who were affected by those bugs- A new life, and a new karma, -!!!

This cycle repeats……

Yes, I do believe in life after death!!!
Do u??

Oh!! I wanted to write something today, before the deadline is over. And as usual I have gone with another crappy stuff. Anyways, I will write something worthy in the next month.
Hey, There is always a second time.
Believe me!!

10 golden rules on How to handle girls…

1.They make good friends. Allow them to be ur friends. But no further.
2. Use ur brain while dealing with them. Use heart, and u r history.
3. Handle with care. Never force them.
4. Lend a supporting hand when they r in trouble. Never say this later. They wont remember. Expect nothing.
5.Be honest. But never reveal urself fully.Make them curious, Let them guess.
6. Love “a” girl only if U r pretty sure that U cannot live without her.
7. Reveal ur heart only when U know that She will acknowledge positively to it. Till then, let the brain handle it.
8. If you can enter into a girls heart, you wil remain there for ever. But mostly, her brain is ur residing place.
9. She will eventually break ur heart (whether she gets in, or gets out of it).
10.Whatever rules you apply on them, there will always be exceptions.
It is the 10th rule that keeps us falling again and again. The best way out is to avoid them as much as possible. ;)
The above rules are contributed by,

Why I fried a chip!!

One post per month is my normal jotting down frequency. It’s a very big gap, I know, but I am hardly finding enough time to translate my thoughts into words. What!! I am that busy???Oh!No way...May be, I am too lazy. Or , there may be other reasons.
Today is August 30th and I got one more day before I ruin my routine.
I must write something today.
But I hate to write about my daily activities (I hate to reveal how boring my life is…)
Ok!
Going on with some daily routines.... forgive me,Oh life!
I was working on a chip for sometime now and its only a few days back that we found out that its a buggy one(thanx to Analog Devices).Trying desperately to move things inside the chip, I actually fried 4 of them.My project manager who is a funny person, interrogated me in his own special way....
Already ashamed of myself for burning 4 chips, that was something not easy to handle.I gave a nervous smile on his querries..In Y! terms, a "big grin" :D
The first question he asked was this.
"R u in love at this very small age" ????
Big Grin :D
(But....., very small age???) :$

Thalayanamanthram!!

Prologue:
In Cyber Town, a browsing centre in Kottayam. Now sitting in between two chicks . A fair one to my right and a dark yet cute girl to my left (whose Y! id which i foundout to be deepasusanxx, where xx=a number!! ;) Wow!!
Chapter 1.
Came home early this morning as my father was not that well. He says, he has a mild fever. I seriously doubt that now a days, he is making a conscious attempt to have something like this or a muscle pain, or atleast a cold for the weekend. And then calls me, to see whether I am coming or not on that weekend. ;) Poor He. This is the first time in his life that he is swamped in loneliness.
Usually, on every month when I reaches home , I observe atleast one dramatic change in him.Recently I watched this in absolute shock and disbelief when my father called my mother to see a malayalam mega serial (forgot its name!). My father, as I know him, is someone who is not that much inclined towards such soapy things. Changed. Now there is no more competition for the remote control between them atleast. But in their agreement at this , the one who had to suffer the most is poor me. She gave me a cute smile when I asked her on how she managed to drag him into this. And then said in a low voice making sure that my father is nowhere near.
"Thalayanamanthram"!! ;)
This is one reason why I respect girls. They got immense potentials in them.First recognized by Indra, who had sent Menaka to distract Viswamithra from his Yaga, now this same principle is being put into effect by most of the I.T companies as well as the consulting agencies. They recruiting cute voices as their HR personals!
Epilogue:
One of my junior gals from electrical, recently got appointed as the HR of IBS,Technopark. I predict a grand shoot in their sharevalue.
